ST. PAUL'S SCHOOL AND CHOIR SCHOOL CAMBRIDGE, MA
Tom Ryan and Skip Burck Associates designed the outdoor spaces at St. Paul’s Church and Choir School in Cambridge to support the activities of the church and school in its tight urban setting. A drop-off area, parking, and play yard for the choir boys are all accommodated in a relatively small space. Each element of the design works to organize the space and knit the church and grounds into its urban fabric. The spacing of honeylocust trees and brick paving define and shade parking spaces as well as frame the central courtyard as a pleasing pass-through for Harvard students.
