Tom Ryan developed the final documents for and supervised the construction of this plaza retrofit, following the Master Plan by Hargreaves Associates. This effort was overseen with very distinct attention to detail and craftsmanship so as to imprint upon the University of Cincinnati a signatory landscape. Innovative entry sequences create spatial identity within the larger campus landscape through prototypical stone pylons and signage while compositions of earthforms and sweeping pathways explore the relationship between art and landscape. The ASLA recognized this Master Plan with a Merit Award.
