Ryan Associates, in conjunction with a Maryland Preservation Trust, developed a planning study for this oceanfront property. The Trust sought to assemble large tracts of the property for conservation and recreation, while utilizing portions for a market-driven housing development in order to finance the project. A county recreational facility and new high school also needed to be sited. The study focused on utilizing the existing character and features of the landscape, such as barn outbuildings and horse farms and integrating them with bike paths and marine access for recreational use.
