Ryan Associates replaced an undersized and underused backyard patio at this residence in Lexington with a mahogany deck that cantilevers from the house over a stone wall. The new deck maximizes the woodland views and is a dramatic extension of the indoor living spaces. The plan provides solutions to the challenges of the steep site so that the homeowners can make their outdoor spaces more useable and improve the circulation around their home.
