WILSON’S COVE

Ryan Associates had the honor of providing site planning, permitting and documentation services for Wilson’s Cove, a boutique hotel named in memory of John Wilson, one of our longtime clients and friends. The hotel opened in October 2026 and is the latest expansion of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club’s portfolio.
The property sits beside the Hinckley Bay Bridge Marina in Stevensville, Maryland, with panoramic sunset views of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge. Site amenities include a centrally located pool and terrace, a covered patio with lounge seating, and two flex-use lawn terraces with catenary lighting, fire pit tables and a pergola.
Terraces were designed to offer moments for relaxation and play, serving as blank slates for a variety of weddings, corporate functions, and other private events. Details and grading were strategically considered to capitalize on the site’s unique vantage point without impeding views from private porches.
The permitting effort navigated a complex web of parameters established by the site’s location within the coastal buffer zone and proximity to the Bay Bridge Airport. The planting palette and layout were meticulously designed to comply with county, state and FAA regulations for airport safety and coastal buffer mitigation.
