Zach Kalette

Zach joined Ryan Associates in June of 2014. He is involved in all phases of the design process including permitting, construction documentation, renderings and 3D modeling. He previously gained experience on projects throughout New York State, such as streetscapes, green infrastructure and housing.

Zach received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, graduating magna cum laude. He received the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award for his achievements in academics and athletics, and was also a member of the Sigma Lambda Alpha Honor Society. For his senior thesis, Zach spent a semester in Barcelona, Spain observing how street form affects pedestrian behavior. He first studied how the city's urban fabric evolved over time, and then selected 6 distinct street types to closely investigate. Through his studies and extensive travels, Zach has gained an appreciation for the key role design plays in shaping how people experience public space.
